In this series of 7 workshops, Lara will take you through the classic Iyengar approach to sequencing and systematic learning of the different families of asanas which allows the practicer to gradually awaken the body, mind and intelligence to move from the “skin to the soul”.
5. Backbends: We will begin with poses that open the shoulders, chest and frontal hips to make the practice of backbends more accessible. One we’ve opened and strengthened ourselves we will explore a variety of backbends in prone, supine and inverted positions!
