Join senior-level 3 Iyengar Yoga instructor Lara Warren for an unforgettable retreat exploring yoga and and the creative experience at Feathered Pipe Ranch in the heart of the northern Rocky Mountains. Each day will begin with an in-depth active morning asana session followed by a restorative and pranayama session in the evening. Through these practices, we will journey inward to connect with different facets of ourselves, exploring how we engage with our practice and what we manifest in our lives. 

Each class will lead you to a deeper understanding of how to connect with the various aspects of yourself. How do you engage yourself? What do you engage with when you are practicing? Are you preparing something? Are you creating something? Or are you simply open to the experience and what it organically reveals? These are just some of the questions and concepts we will explore in this retreat. To visualize what it is you want to create (whether it is a yoga asana, a direction in your life, a project, or a piece of art), uniting mindfulness, skill, purposeful action, and the ability to “lose yourself” in your practice, paves the way toward positive transformation and to an experience that ranges from the practical to the sublime.

Daily Schedule:

7am — Breakfast
9am-12pm — Morning Yoga
12:30pm — Lunch
4-6pm — Restorative & Pranayama
6:30 — Dinner
7:45pm — Evening hikes, bonfires & free time to enjoy just being

*Optional hands-on pottery classes at The Bray — Tuesday/Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon

By the end of the week, expect to learn how dyanmics shift within a posture, depending on sequencing, timing, props and even the lens with which we analyze them. You will go home with more sensitivity and self-awareness within the asanas, a better understanding of how and what to practice independently, a greater literacy of adjusting your practice based on your given circumstances, and the courage to practice more advanced poses and explore your creativity. 

This year, we are excited to partner with the Archie Bray Foundation (The Bray), world-renowned ceramic arts center in Helena, Montana and the oldest artist-in-residency program, to offer optional "experiential clay" classes. Dive into the world of ceramics with two wheel-throwing sessions and one hand-building class, adding a unique dimension to your retreat experience. Join us on this journey of self-discovery and creative exploration.
